The campus also hosts a successfully run teaching hospital attached to the college. The vision of those days with which the promoters set up the hospital permeated into a great banyan, thereby now caressing a whole lot of the society under its protective medical educational and health care activities.

The 750-bedded general hospital with all specialities always has been the resorts of all acute emergencies and polytrauma cases at all times in the NH-5. The hospital with its multi care additionally caters to the teaching needs of the students.

The hospital is strengthened with all the necessary diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical aids like a highly equipped dedicated Operation Theatre Complex comprising of 9 theatres in addition to the theatres in causually and individual departments, state of the art Central laboraatoy, Radiology and imaging department with CT Scan, ultra scan etc.

College of Medicine
The college of medicine was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Honourable Mr. I.K. Gujral on 17th September, 1997. Already seventy doctors have passed out of the College and doing well in their profession. Presently the College offers only M.B.B.S. Course equivalent to the M.D. Course of Tanzania. Short courses for Laboratory Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians and Premedical Courses will commence from Feb 2005. It is contemplated to start the post graduate courses in Internal Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Paediatrics from Sep 2005. Fellowship courses in certain super specialties are likely to commence from Sep 2006. The admissions are held in Feb and Sep every year.

We at Katuri Medical College & Hospital strongly believe that the history of the world is the history of few men who had faith in themselves and we are inclulating and infusing tot he youner generations to come the truth that all powers lies whin and one only has to mainfest that infinite strength for the best utitility of the community.

Library:
Alarge collection of text and reference books, Indian and foreign journals in every branch of medicine are at the disposal of the students and staff along with newspapaers and magazines. This place inculcates the habit of regular reading and reference making even in an unobtrusive rader. Video CD and other modern aids add to the techniques of dissemination of Medicine.

Computers with internet facility links one and all to a host of international institutions, events, developments in various branches of medicine and latest informatics as and when generated elsewhere in the world thus keeeping abreast all technological advances for the well benefit of the field of medicine.
