Established in 1984, and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Health University, Bangalore
and Karnataka University, Dharwad and recognised by the Medical Council of India. The Annual in take is 100, 50% by management, in which quota only muslims are admitted as per the order of Supreme Court of India and 50% by the goverment of Karnataka.

Procedure of admission under management quota to MBBS
a) Applications are invited by the trust for admisson every year in the last week of April
b) Written entrance examination is held in the month of July
c) Viva is conducted also in July
d) A merit list is prepared by adding the marks of XII Std obtained in PCB and the marks of the written test and the marks of the viva.

Administrative Block It is situated at Bijapur on Athani Road on 200 acres of land. The campus has five units.

a)Al-Ameen Medical college hospital consisting of 800 beds. The main hospital of 500 beds will be commissioned on 29th January 1999. Another hospital of 300 beds with all amenities is already functioning Animal House
b)Al-Ameen dental college hospital, Dental Hospital with facilities for an intake of 40 students is functioning. Another new Dental Hospital is under construction

A School of Nursing was started in September 1998 at Al-Ameen Medical Sciences campus at Bijapur. The School has an intake of 40 students every year. Both women and men are admitted. The duration of the course is 3 years and the basic qualification required is a pass in 12th standard. The Supritendent Al-Ameen Medical College Hospital, Athani Road, Bijapur - 568 108 is incharge of the school
