About The University
Founded in 1978, UCA HAS Efficiently dedicated the last thirty years to Meet the Challenges of massive O Increase in student numbers and social transformations on Need for education and research.

UCA HAS Currently 12 institutions located in. 2 regions of the kingdom: Marrakech Tensift Elhaouz and Abda Doukkala. It covers four university cities: Marrakech, Kalaa of Sraghna, Safi and Essaouira.

Mr. Ahmed Reda Chami, Minister of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies on Wednesday Chaired 18th May, 2011, the Installation ceremony of new President of the Cadi Ayyad University, Mr. Abdellatif Miraoui, in the presence of the Wali of Marrakech Tensift - EL Haouz, Governor of the Prefecture of Marrakech, Mr. Mohamed Mhidia, the Mayor of Marrakech, Mrs.. Fatima Zohra El Mansouri, and the Mayor and President of the Agglomeration Belfortaine (France), Mr. Butzbach.

Mr. President Mohammed Marzak, received on May 4th, 2011 at the Presidency headquarters, a delegation from the University of Murcia (Spain), led by Prof. Gaspar Ros Berruezo. Through the discussions, Opportunities for Cooperation Between the Campus of Excellence Mare Nostrum (NJC), National Center for the Study and Research on the Sahara (NRAC) and the National Centre for Study and Research Water and Energy (CNEREE) Have emerged.

As share of the implementation of the cooperation agreement Concluded Between Cadi Ayyad University - Marrakech (UCA) and the RoyalInstitute of Strategic Studies (IRES), the Joint Steering Committee (JPC) Held icts first meeting on 25th March, 2011 in Marrakech, at UCA's headquarters. In order to allocate the 2011-2014 quadrennial Accreditations to Laboratories and Research Teams / Groups, a call for tender is open at the Presidency of the University. The Call for Proposals for action-research scientific projects (2011-2012) is Launched by Hermes Foundation Entitled: "Biodiversity and local knowledge: Promoting innovation in producer / consumer interface" for the selection of 02 research projects at To Be Funded a rate of 100,000 Euros each. The Moroccan Institution for Scientific and Technical Information (IMIST) HAS just subscribed, On behalf of the Moroccan Universities Consortium to new bibliographic databases. A unique remote-access and searchable portal Will Be installed to bring together all the available bibliographic databases. To this thesis new acquisitions to the University Researchers, Will Be Organized a seminar at the University on Thursday 10th March in the lecture hall No. 10. This seminar is open to all the University Researchers and Master students.

Cooperation
In June 2010, Morocco has obtenues new UNESCO chair in "Education of physicque by doing (" Teaching of Physics-through practice ") created in Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech. This is the first UNESCO Chair of ict kind To Be Granted to an African country in the Field of Teaching Physics. To celebrate this event Cadi Ayyad University Will organizes on Thursday, July 8th, 2010 from 15.00 pm. the official Launching of this UNESCO Chair in the headquarters of the University's Presidency.

This Will Be Held ceremony with the participation of the Representatives of UNESCO Paris and North Africa, The National Committee for Education, Science and Culture from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Science and Culture , Department of Higher Education and Scientific Research), the National Center of Pedagogical Innovations and Experimentation of (National Centre of Educational Innovation and Experimentation) (CNIPE), The Regional Academies of Education and Training (Regional Academies of Education and Training (AREF)), regions of Rabat-Sale-Zemmour-Zaer, Marrakech Tensift AlHaouz, all of Caddi Ayyad Institutions, and several main characters from the world of Education.

The UNESCO Chair "Physics Teaching Practice-through" ("teaching of physics by doing"):

The UNESCO Chair Concerns the project and promote the improvement of the domain of Education Sciences in Physics and in Morocco in the Countries Belonging to the Sami region. It is at groin Installing Programs of Pedagogical Action-research and innovations based on active methods so as to urge teachers to use 'em in class.

Student Affairs
ENSA Marrakech won the third prize of the Innovation competition "Innov'IT 2011", on Saturday 14th May, 2011 in Rabat.
This competition is organized by the Association of Information System Users in Morocco (AUSIM) and the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA) and has as partners the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies, the CGEM (GeneralConfederation of Moroccan Enterprises), and the APEBI (Association of Information Technology Professionals).
