About:
Gandhi Medical College is one of the most famous organizations located in the capital of Madhya Pradesh which is endowed with picturesque beauty, rich in lifestyle and heritage.

The university was established in 1955 by the president Lal Bahadur Shashtri. The college began its function in the Polytechnic building with the first set of 50 students and with the departments of anatomy and physiology. It took seven years for the tremendous process to finish this wonderful architecture.
The College started teaching with 50 students and celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1980 with 2549 Graduates, 525 Postgraduates, and 230 Diploma students. Now the college is emerged with 23 Departments and have multi Faculty. The college also comprises the Medico legal Institute, Regional Eye Institute and Cardiac Sciences Centre. There are Post Graduate Courses in all specialties and Post Doctoral Course in Pediatric Surgery and Cardio thoracic Surgery is ongoing.

Fees:
1. The Security deposits paid by the students will be refundable while completing the course.
2. Caution money will be refundable while relieving the seat.
3. Deposited amount will be refundable only if the student cancels the admission 6 days before the closing date of admission. It is strictly advised no amount will be refunded after this period. However 10% handling fee may be taken off by the college

Facilities:
Hostels are offered with the food, water purifiers, Cleaners, entertainment rooms, Gym and other features. Additional rooms for working women also available, one with 100 bedded and another 200 bedded. For each hostel there is a Warden and an Associate Warden who manages the hostel. Moreover there is a chief Warden for all the hostels

Rules and regulations of the college:

• Ragging is totally prohibited and is a punishable criminal activity by law. Ragging is taken seriously by the Press, Govt and Individual Privileges. Any student found to be engaged in ragging will be eliminated from the college.
• Students found to be misleading, indiscipline, and absence would be responsible to disciplinary action such as terminating from college and cancellation of admission by the university.
• If it is found that a student has produced any false documents or incorrect information during the time of admission, then the enrollment will be cancelled by the
• Dean of the college.

Misbehavior : Fights between students for personal reasons will outcome in their revocation for a period of 6 months, making them incapable to be eligible for a university examination

Extra Curricular Activities : Students are motivated to take part in social and cultural activities of the college. However contribution in any other social activities not organized by the school is to be reported to the authorities of the college

Library discipline: strict action will be taken against the learners captured ruining or ripping the books, making disturbance or interference, not returning books on time and seated in the library during teaching hours.

Antisocial Activity : In case of misbehaviors outside the College campus, if a Police case is entered then the college administration is not responsible for such actions.

Dr. Narasimhan attended medical school at the Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India. She completed her residency training in psychiatry at Yale University Department of Psychiatry and went on to complete a fellowship in psychopharmacology at Yale.
