About the University:
The University of Gondar is known as the Gondar College of Medical Science. It is established as the Public Health College in 1954 and is the oldest medical school in Ethiopia. From 2010, the university offers about 42 undergraduate and 17 postgraduate programs. These are organized under the College of Medicine with five faculties
Community Service:
The University has been placed tremendous participation in the country in the field of teaching research and community service. Excellent expert in different professions has been produced; the name of the university has widely been recognized through enormous publications; and community has been benefiting wide range through well studied health, and understanding of legal problems legal problems.
Library:
The collection facilitates the school to bring quality in educational, research through the supply of access to knowledge, information resources, and solutions that suits the needs of its different community.
Through building its services the university extends its information resources. Through these and other systems the library will convert it into offering ideal solutions together with others for the better development and management of the University's web sources and services.

The Library is open for 24 /7 days a week to boost its solutions and increase availability of information resources and solutions for all division libraries.
