The Accelerated Physician Assistant Pathway (APAP) is a three-year program for certified PAs who want to increase his or her medical knowledge and practice independently as fully licensed physicians.
The Lecture-Discussion Pathway (LDP) presents the basic science core curriculum and medical systems curriculum through lecture presentations and small-group tutorials.
The Problem-Based Learning Pathway (PBL) is a nationally recognized innovative approach to medical education, offering students the opportunity to study the biomedical and clinical sciences by utilizing medical case studies in a small-group environment. The PBL pathway case studies are designed to develop and enhance a student's critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The Directed Study Pathway (DSP), originally the Independent Study Pathway, offers students the opportunity to study the basic science core curriculum and medical systems curriculum at his or her pace, using lists of highly structured learning objectives compiled into self-directed learning "module" booklets used in combination with textbooks, resource guides and small group study.

LECOM School of Dental Medicine Offers Innovative, Community-based Pathway While modern dentistry has brought about marked improvement in the oral health of many Americans, the "silent epidemic" of oral disease affects the elderly, members of various ethnic and racial groups and America's indigent children. LECOM dental students will have early clinical experience in community dental offices and clinics. LECOM School of Pharmacy Offers Choice of Student-Centered Learning Pharmacy With the expansion of the LECOM School of Pharmacy in Bradenton, FL, students have the choice of either a year-round, three-year pathway or a traditional four-year pathway. The Erie School of Pharmacy continues to meet the demand for new pharmacists by accelerating the course work to allow graduation with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in just three years. Affiliations with undergraduate colleges allow students to complete pre-pharmacy requirements in two years and graduate in a total of five years. LECOM Post Baccalaureate Helps You Prepare for Medical or Pharmacy School The LECOM Erie Campus offers a Post Baccalaureate Program with two semesters of biomedical science courses designed to improve a student's academic credentials prior to entering medical or pharmacy school.
Master of Science in Biomedical Education This two-year, MS degree provides graduates with the knowledge and credentials to gain placement at a variety of academic institutions, hospitals and medical education facilities.
Post-Graduate Education Choices LECOM created the Lake Erie Consortium for Osteopathic Medical Training (LECOMT) to develop new osteopathic post-graduate training programs. LECOMT began with one hospital and a handful of residency programs, progressing the college's post-graduate program to include 34 teaching hospitals in seven states, with more than 740 internship, residency and fellowship positions available.
Physicians who teach at these affiliates and elsewhere may extend his or her medical education knowledge by enrolling in the LECOM Master of Science in Medical Education program. The MS in Medical Education provides courses in effective teaching, administration and leadership to those who desire advanced training in medical education. Tuition is free for residents at Millcreek Community Hospital, and LECOM provides tuition discounts for faculty at LECOMT member hospitals.
Choices Outside the Classroom LECOM encourages student involvement and leadership in community service activities. Programs such as Bridging the Gaps take students out of the classroom to underserved clinics and community agencies. LECOM has opened a medically integrated health and wellness center near the campus. Open to students and the public, the John M. and Silvia Ferretti Medical Fitness and Wellness Center, located at 5401 Peach Street, Erie, PA, is also a teaching facility where students learn about medical fitness and the relationship between healthy lifestyles and patient care.

The School of Pharmacy opened in 2002 to meet the national demand for new pharmacists.
Year-round, 2+3 curriculum: two years at accredited undergraduate schools and three years of professional education at LECOM Erie.
The School of Pharmacy has expanded to the Bradenton campus with a four-year program.
The School of Pharmacy enrolls nearly 900 students. There are now more than 800 School of Pharmacy alumni.

Graduate Studies
LECOM offers two Master of Science degrees.
The Master of Science in Medical Education prepares physicians and pharmacists to become better clinical teachers.

LECOM also offers a one-year Health Sciences Post Baccalaureate certificate to prepare students for continued health care or science education.
Facilities
Each campus building in Erie and Bradenton provides more than 100,000 square feet of teaching and learning space. The LECOM Bayfront Campus, Student Center and the Medical Fitness and Wellness Center in Erie provide additional space for education and student activities. In Greensburg, LECOM utilizes classroom space at Seton Hill University.
LECOM is a member of Millcreek Health System along with Millcreek Community Hospital, Millcreek Geriatric Education and Care Center, and Medical Associates of Erie, which manages the practices of physicians at 14 locations. LECOM students learn and work in all of these facilities.
LECOM Erie - The Community is Our Campus The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine main campus sits along West Grandview Boulevard in Erie, PA. Grandview Boulevard is appropriately named because, from the LECOM campus, you can see the entire city of Erie; and looking beyond Presque Isle State Park, you can watch ships sailing across Lake Erie into southern Ontario, Canada.
This teaching and learning center has grown to provide space for the increasing class size of the College of Osteopathic Medicine and School of Pharmacy.
The new north entrance to the Grandview campus provides additional security and easy, street-level access from the main parking lots. Students arriving for admission interviews will find an inviting lobby and a large meeting room where their visit to LECOM will begin.
Campus meets the learning needs of LECOM students The college has four fully equipped lecture halls. Each of the two larger amphitheater style classrooms seats more than 250 students, while two smaller lecture halls, used by the School of Pharmacy, can handle up to 150 students each. All lecture halls have smart classroom equipment, with wireless and wired computer network connections for student laptops. Classrooms offer multimedia presentations - DVD, VCR, slide and computer presentations. In the larger lecture halls, instructors control and illustrate presentations from a computer tablet at the lectern.
LECOM basic science professors can demonstrate cell biology and microbiology in a laboratory equipped with television monitors attached to microscopes. Each student has access to individual microscopes as they learn clinical laboratory procedures.
The study of the body is an important part of becoming a competent health care provider. LECOM teaches gross anatomy in a climate-controlled lab. A modern Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine training lab includes video monitors so students can see close-up demonstrations of OMM techniques.
The campus includes a student lounge/cafeteria where a professional food service staff provides breakfast and lunch. The staff also caters special events for the college. Throughout the day, students use the main lounge and the nearby Vora Student Lounge for both individual and group study, These areas also serves as a multi-purpose room for student club activities. The LECOM Student Center on Peach Street provides after class study space along with a Coffee Culture Cafe and Eatery, which is also open to the public.
A three-story atrium off West Grandview Boulevard is used for official functions.The campus bookstore, which serves LECOM students and the Erie medical community along with the Learning Resource Center and library are on the third-floor, atrium level.
The Community is Our Campus The West Grandview Boulevard building is just part of the LECOM Campus, which extends to affiliated teaching hospitals and clinics in Erie. Founded by Millcreek Community Hospital (MCH), LECOM is the only private college of osteopathic medicine with it's own teaching hospital. As part of Millcreek Health System, the college uses the facilities of the hospital, the Millcreek Geriatric Education and Care Center and the clinical offices of Medical Associates of Erie (MAE).
LECOM's bayfront campus, a former corporate office building situated along Presque Isle Bay, is used by Problem-Based Learning groups and the Graduate Studies programs: Master of Education in Medical Education, the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and Post Baccalaureate program.
The College owns and operates the John M. and Silvia Ferretti Medical Fitness and Wellness Center located near MCH. The college invested $31 million in the facility that brings medical care together with fitness by teaming LECOM with MCH and Medical Associates of Erie to make a medical fitness difference in local healthcare. Open to students and the public, the center is a facility where anyone can experience and learn about the "medical fitness difference" that imakes a positive impact on patients and personal well-being.
LECOM has opened a clinical education center as part of Plaza 18, one of the MAE clinics. LECOM expanded and equipped patient rooms as physical exam training stations for LECOM medical students. Meeting standardized patients, students learn how to employ the clinical examination and communication skills they will need to confidently serve as partners with their patients on the pathway to health and well-being.
LECOM has purchased the LORD Grandview Technology Center with three modern buildings and an additional 28 acres of land adjacent to the main campus. The College will use these buildings for future expansion to provide research and learning space.
