Maharaja Agrasen, the king of Agroha, born to king Vallabh of Pratapnagar some 5182 years back. Maharaja Agrasen, was king of great administrative skill. His concepts of kingdom and the duties of the king towards his subjects have evolved him as a centurial man. Equality, Nationalism, Socialism and Non-Violence were the principles which formed the backbone of his kingship.

The Agroha Medical College is one of his major initiatives to transform a relatively backward region of Haryana into a vibrant center of modern medicine.

Indoor Services (Wards)
The hospital has 475 beds in its 12 wards providing adequate and satisfactory indoor care to patients admitted to the Institute with various ailments. The medical, paramedical and nursing staff is constantly engaged in providing the best healthcare facilities to the patients.

Accident and Emergency Department
A 14 bedded Accident and Emergency Department with divisions catering to medical, paediatric, surgical and Orthopaedics emergencies functioning round the clock is a remarkable feature of the Institute. This department also has an Intensive Care Unit. Facilities of X-ray, Ultrasound and all Laboratory tests are available in the same premises and patients do not have to move from one building to other for investigations. The Emergency Operation Theatre of the Institute functions 24 hours a day.

Blood Bank
The blood bank of the institute is also well equipped with blood testing facilities, latest gadgetry and a cold room for good storage capacity to match the requirements of a tertiary level referral hospital. Besides providing safe and tested whole blood for transfusion to patients, the following components are also made available with the help of a Cell Separator:

Platelet-rich plasma
Platelet concentrate
Cryoprecipitate
Plasma

The main source of input for the blood bank is from voluntary blood donation camps organized by various agencies and NGOs including the Red Cross Society. The Blood Bank of the Institute is also engaged in training of Medical Officers and Lab Technicians in Safe Blood Transfusion methods and techniques.

Library
The Institute has a library, which has a collection of 6000 books on various streams of Medical Science. Besides this, the library also subscribes to about 150 national and international medical journals. Internet connectivity is also available in the library for the use of the staff and students of the Institute. The library is open from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm during summers and 9.00 am to 9.00 pm during winters. A project for the air-conditioning of the library is currently under progress. In addition, the Reading Room attached to the library provides a calm and serene atmosphere for the students to study.

Campus Life
The Institute has a beautiful and magnificent campus. Tranquil and calm surroundings provide an ideal academic environment. Separate housing is available for Boys and Girls for Undergraduate students. Different types of housing are available for students, faculty, and other staff. Shopping Complex, Chemists Shops, PCO/STD, is available within walking distance. Spacious and comfortable living is provided to all the faculty and residents.

Institute has excellent facilities for sports and recreation activities. Students participate in sport, athletic and literary events at state and national level and win prizes for the college. Students run a Literary and Magazine (Srijan) and organize number of cultural events over the year. Notable Events include annual college festival- Vibration, Annual sports and athletic meet, Health Exhibition, , Literary and Poetry recital.
