VISIONARY INCARNATE
Dr M L Swarankar is the Chairman & Managing Trustee of the first recognised Medical College in private sector in Rajasthan, namely, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur (a 750 bedded teaching hospital), established in the year 2000.

After doing his MBBS with distinction & winning Gold Medal in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from University of Rajasthan. He completed his Post Graduation from India's premier Medical Institute - PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1982.

He had his basic IVF training from Liverpool UK. He has traveled abroad extensively mainly to USA, Germany & Australia for advanced training in ART & Micro Surgery. He is the founder director of Jaipur Fertility & Micro Surgery Research Centre (now a Unit of Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital, Jaipur) which is the first centre in Rajasthan & North India to deliver the first IVF and ICSI baby (in 1989 & 1994 respectively).

So far more than 7000 IVF/ICSI babies (Test tube babies) have been born after treatment at Jaipur Fertility & Micro Surgery Research Centre, Jaipur and the centre is doing an average 900 IVF Cycles per annum.

Ever since Dr M L Swarankar became a doctor be had a dream to establish a Medical Institute par excellence which could provide quality medical education & world class quality health services to the community, specially the needy, as he felt they were the most deserving. It was with this vision that he established Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital.

Dr. M. L. Swarankar's name needs no introduction in the world of Medicine. His contribution to research in In-vitro fertilisation has got not only him, but also Jaipur, an international popularity. With MBBS degree form SMS Medical College, he did his post graduation with specialization in Gyneacolology and Obstetrics from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has undergone extensive training in US, UK, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Austria and Australia and rendered his professional services in numerous places including Mumbai, Chandigarh and Nigeria.

He founded Jaipur Fertility and Microsurgery Research Centre (IVF Centre), which has given happiness to many childless couples. People come from all over the world to take advantage of his medical expertise and he has treated patients from US, UK, France, Canada, UAE, Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan etc. The IVF Centre contributes almost a fifth of the total IVF treatments in the country and has the maximum success rate.

Mahatma Gandhi Nursing College
B.Sc. Nursing was started in the year 2003 for complementing the potential of Nursing service assistance with best of nursing staff. The college is recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Rajasthan Government and affiliated to the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences and approved by Nursing Council of India.

Mahatma Gandhi Nursing School
The Diploma Course in Nursing is conducted under the Guidance of the Indian Nursing Council, recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Rajasthan Government. The college was started in the year 2001 and aims at preparing the best of nursing staff that will form a strong base for nursing services as well as employment in the State. The first two batches have already completed the Academic Course successfully.

Mahatma Gandhi Physiotheraphy College
The B.P.T. (Bachelor of Physio-therapy) course was started in 2006 and is conducted under recognition of the Indian Rehabilitation Society. The students trained through this course can look forwards to lucrative career options, in the physiotherapy treatment that is in great demand. The Department runs the OPD daily where the patients have access to all types of treatments related to Physio-therepy.
