Within the framework of Mansoura University mission to support and fund scientific research and technology through funding applied researches, and according to the decision made by the committee responsible for putting a plan for the fields of competitive research projects of the year 2011, the post-graduate and researches sector announces the availability of applying for the competitive projects of the year 2011.

The Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University has organized a forum entitled "Towards a University Without Smoking" on Monday, the 30th of May, 2011. It was held in the conferences hall of the faculty with the presence of the president of the university, the vice president of Community service and Environmental Affairs, as well as the dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

The president of Mansoura University has met with peoples defense-in-chief on Wednesday, the 18th of May, 2011. During that meeting, they talked about the security position of the university and the necessity of cooperation in order to preserve security and peace especially during the upcoming period of the second semester examination. Vice president of Education and Students Affairs has attended the meeting as well.

The General Service Center at The Faculty of Education of Mansoura University announces the start of the summer activities for the year 2011. It offers courses in different fields. The president of Mansoura University has met the Governor of Damietta Governorate in order to discuss the business of accomplishing the structures of the universitys branch in New Damietta City. The vice president of Damietta Branch Affairs has attended the meeting.

Within the frame of the universitys support of academic research and technology as represented in funding the applied researches, and according to the decision made by the formed committee for preparing a conceptual design(plan-suggestion) within the field of competitive projects for the year 2011, the sector of post graduate studies and academic researches announces the availability of applying for the competitive projects for the year 2011.

Graduate Studies and Research Sector at Mansoura University is pleased to announce the beginning of applying for getting the rewards incentives for scientific publication in international periodicals for researches published in 2010 and that will be till be the end of March 2011, by filling the attached form on Al-Farabi System for quality insurance, and will not accept paper submission.

The Union of the Malaysian students ,who study at the Faculty of Medicine, have submitted a project proposal entitled Make Them Smile. Through this project they have volunteered to decorate the library of the Pediatrics Hospital. They painted pictures and put impressive posters that the kids like a lot. Mansoura Universitys Sciences Club has won the first position in the Fourth Sciences Club Forum at Cairo University. About 17 universities have participated in this forum from the first till the fifth of May, 2011.
