About The University
Work towards the creation of the Medical University of Bialystok, taken in early 1949. The founder of the school was Dr. George Sztachelski . Medical Academy of Bialystok was established by decree of the Council of Ministers of February 3, 1950, organizer and the first Rector of the Academy was Professor Tadeusz Kielanowski. 22 March 2008 law came into force on the assignment of the Medical University of Bialystok names Medical University of Bialystok .
