Rama Medical College and Hospital (RMCH), Kanpur was established in 2008 as the first private sector medical college in KANPUR in the State of Uttar Pradesh to impart Medical Education. The College is affiliated to Dr B R Ambedkar University,Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The Campus accommodation for students and staff adds to the harmonious and congenial social atmosphere. The College brings together a dedicated team of physicians, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest standards of medical treatment.

The aim of the college is creating a safe and supportive environment for its students to provide quality education to medical Students. There extensive infrastructure comprises 12 modern operating theatres, 550 beds including 100 comprehensively equipped intensive care beds, a Clinical Laboratory including fully automatic 5 Part Differential Analysers and other modern equipment in addition to a state of the art Diagnostic Imaging Center.

MBBS
Rama Medical College, Hospital and Research centre offers Bachelors of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.

RMC offers a total of 150seats for the course per year. The course are duly approved by Medical Council of India and affiliated to Agra University.

The course is designed keeping in mind the practical and technical needs in various fields that the candidate may be headed towards. A graduate degree in Medicine & Surgery is a minimum requirement for pursuing a Masters in either Medicine or Surgery (MD or MS) and eventually super specialisations.

The course involves both theory and practical classes. Clinical exposure begins at the second year, when the students start attending wards at the RAMA Multi Specialty Hospital. Hospital postings and field visits to public health centres aim to expose the student to the life like situation a doctor faces as a professional and to deliver in all kinds of pressure scenarios.

MANDHANA CAMPUS
Rama Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Mandhana, is an endeavor of Rama Group of Institutions to extend its time tested and established healthcare services in both education and healthcare sectors, at its Mandhana Campus. Established in 2007, RMC Mandhana was the first private college in UP to offer MBBS along with the facility of 1000 bedded super specialty hospital.

Along with a Medical College and a Hospital, two Engineering Institutions, a Business Studies Institution, Nursing and Paramedical Sciences College were also started in the year 2007-08.

Delivering the promised potential, in the current year, year 2011, when our students started graduating; they were quickly absorbed in corporate and other centers which valued their worth. That was when the great potential for employment in corporate like Telecom, IT, Banking, Manufacturing, Hospitals, Pharmaceutical, Polyclinics, Industries, Training institutions in India and abroad, apart from the option of entrepreneurship, came to be known.

The infrastructure facilities at the Mandhana Campus are comparable with best standards and all the institutes in campus make full utilization of the common infrastructural facilities provided.

Library
We at Rama believe that the students should be nurtured to their full potential by giving them the best of learning opportunities. To this effect we have worked hard to create a State of Art library that is a rich source of information for the students. The library has the latest books and journals in the fields of management, science and technology, Computer communications and business development.

The state of the art libraries at Rama Group's campus stretching over 25000 square feet, are a domain for information seekers; be it students, faculty or researchers. The libraries have been carefully planned to have more space and natural lighting for the comfort of the users. The libraries are fully air-conditioned. They have the capacity to accommodate 300-600 visitors at a time.

Besides the comfortable seating and reading environment, the libraries are well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROM, online databases, video cassettes, books, journals, back volumes of journals, theses, WHO publications etc. Facilities such as photocopying, fax, access to internet resources, online journals, e-learning and EPAC (Electronic Public Access Catalogue) are some of the many special features. There are a separate audio-visual room, computer lab, group study area and private study area in the library.

Labs:
Various departments have their own separate labs, which are well stocked, maintained and kept up to date with the latest equipments and apparatus for the students to carry out practical. All the labs are fully equipped and well stocked. Apart from the Labs, the students undergo course syllabus which allows them access to the different labs, Operation Theatres, Wards and research centres at the RAMA Multi Speciality Hospital on the campus.

Sports & Medical
Sports facilities at par with International Standards (Cricket, Football, Athletics, Swimming, Hockey, Volleyball, Basket Ball, Badminton, Tennis, Squash etc.) are provided to inculcate a healthy and active lifestyle.

A medical college with 750 bedded multi-speciality hospitals is also setup in the campus. Periodic medical checkups of the students are organised in the hospital.

Infrastructure
Rama Medical College is set up in a pollution free zone and provides 100 % stay to all Students, residents and faculty. Ample recreational facilities have been planned and created to provide a stress free atmosphere for learning and working. The College is housed in a separate building adjoining the hospital. 100% Hostel facility and Separate Dining Facility have been provided.

College houses the various Basic Medical Sciences and Clinical Sciences departments and laboratories. The various labs housed in this block are the Histology lab, Biochemistry lab, Physiology lab, Community Medicine lab, Pathology lab, Microbiology lab and Pharmacology lab etc.

There is multiple number of lecture halls in both the medical colleges. Specialities about medical college lecture halls are:

There are fully equipped laboratories attached to all the departments of RMC which helps the students to develop psychomotor skills which are very essential for the effective practice of medicine.

the MUSEUM of anatomy which has more than 500 specimens, models and

hundreds of articulated skeletal bonesets form a large study material

for the students
