Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College Yavatmal (SVNGMC Yavatmal) is a college in the Banjara (tribal) populated region of the Vidarbha region of the Maharashtra state of India that provides medical education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is named after the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Late Shri. Vasantrao Naik. SVNGMC Yavatmal is in [Yavatmal] city which is a district place in the state of Maharashtra.
It was established in 1989 and is recognized by MCI. After successful completion of the course, which consist of 54 months of active learning and 12 months of training (internship) students are awarded MBBS degrees (bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery).
Each year 100 students are admitted on the basis of common merit list based on the marks obtained by the students in MHT-CET (Maharashtra Health Sciences and Technology Common Entrance Test), conducted every May, serving as a common entrance test for engineering and health science courses.
Each batch of 100 students is uniquely identified with a year and roll number in that class. For example "SVNGMC-2005-99" indicates a student belonging to the 2005 batch with a roll number of 99. These 100 students includes 85 students from the state (admitted through MHT-CET) and 15 students from All India Pre Medical Test examination (generally called as AIPMT or CPMT). The 15 students may include government nominees and/or NRIs.
The college runs PG courses in Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Forensic Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics and ENT. PG seats are filled through state PGM-CET and also through AIL INDIA PG ENTRANCE EXAM.
The college is regulated by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS Nashik), which regulate all medical colleges in the state. The MUHS Nashik college code for SVNGMC Yavatmal is 1507.

The candidate should have completed senior secondary with a minimum of 50% with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects, from a recognized board/council.
Post Graduate:
To be eligible, the applicant should have completed MBBS from a recognized university.
