The University of Bangui is a public institution of the Central African Republic, with legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy. It is created by Ordinance No. 69063 of 12 November 1969 and placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, the Scientific and Technical Research. It is headquartered in Bangui.

Following the breakup of the Foundation of Higher Education in Central Africa (FESAC), the Central African Government sovereignly ordained in November 1969 the creation of a National University entrusted with the functions that are traditional academic training for managers, research and promotion of culture.

The University of Bangui, in 1970 is gradually institutions of higher education and research. After the Faculty of Law and Economics (FDSEA in 1970), the Higher Institute of Rural Development (In 1970 ISDR), the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST in 1971, current Faculty of Science), the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Humanities was established in 1972.

The University of Bangui's mission is to:
Train senior and middle management of the Central African Republic and other countries that use it;
Contribute to scientific research at national and international levels;
Promote and develop the cultural values ​​and Central Africa;
Provide services to the community according to their skills.

The Minister of National Education, Literacy, Higher Education and Research is the chancellor of the university. As such, it delivers the diplomas of the university in view of the records of examinations and competitions.

THE RECTOR
The Rector is under the authority of the Rector, Vice Chancellor of the university. He is the custodian of the top academic authority within the university. It:
Ensures the smooth running of academic institutions.
Chairs the board of a university.
Provides general police of the university and oversees the guarantees of freedom and traditional academic freedom.
Ensures compliance with laws and regulations on academic institutions. It must be immediately reported to the Minister of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology, said any violation of laws and regulations.

THE VICE PRESIDENT
The Vice Chancellor is appointed by decree of the Council of Ministers on the proposal di Minister of Higher Education Research Science and Technology. It specifically assists the Rector in academic functions.

SECRETARY-GENERAL
The Secretary General shall under the direction of the Rector of all the central administrative, technical and financial.

University Life
The student s'inscit twice during the academic year. The first is the administrative system, the second time that the department receives inscriptionLe the central education, applications from students wishing to pursue studies in anthropology. The board examines the applications department and holds a list that returns to schooling for the last central registration process. The application includes:
An extract of birth certificate
A nationality certificate 2 passport photos 2 coupons answers a medical certificate a certificate of admission to a tray or equivalent;
2 envelopes addressed to the candidate;
January 1 registration receipt, the amount depends on whether the student has regular foreign workers in the CEMAC zone or elsewhere;
An individual record of registration for

COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES
There is a College of Health Sciences, which is presently constituted by five Schools, four of which are of the status of Faculty, a non-departmentalized school and one research institute. These are:

MEDICAL SCHOOL
Anaesthetics, Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry, Centre for Tropical Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Chemical Pathology, Child Health, Community Health, Haematology, Medicine and Therapeutics, Microbiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Surgery.

DENTAL SCHOOL
Oral Biology (Dental Anatomy and Oral Physiology); Bio-material Science; Restorative Dentistry; Paedodontics; Preventive and Community Dentistry; Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Radiology; Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine; Orthodontics.

Research Institutes
Established in 1961, it conducts fundamental research in areas of African Languages, history and culture, and runs interdisciplinary courses leading to MPhil and PhD degrees in African Studies. The Institute also organizes introductory courses in African Studies for all Level 200 students in the undergraduate degree programme of the University. These courses, which cover two semesters, are compulsory. A pass in African Studies is required for the award of a bachelors degree of the University. Orientation courses are available for special admission students from other institutions and agencies. Interdisciplinary seminars and symposia are organized regularly. There is a Visual Arts Section with cultural exhibits for teaching and research. The Institutes library supplements the Africana collection of the Balme Library. Attached to the Institute is the Ghana Dance Ensemble a resident professional dance company which was started in 1962 by the then Ghana Institute of Arts and Culture to link the University of Ghana with the national theatre movement.

INSTITUTE OF STATISTICAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RESEARCH:
It was established in 1966 as the Institute of Statistics. In addition to its original concern with problems related to statistics, the Institute has expanded into the field of social and economic studies. The Institute offers Certificate and Diploma courses in Statistics as well as a Master of Arts degree in Development Studies.

NOGUCHI MEMORIAL INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH:
The Institute was established in 1979 in a building funded by the Government of Japan to serve as a monument in memory of Dr. Hideyo Noguchi, a Japanese medical scientist who died in Accra in May, 1928 while investigating yellow fever. The Institute provides a base for medical co-operation programmes between Ghanaian and Japanese scientists, and a centre for conducting medical research relevant to Ghanas needs. Research is conducted into problems of communicable diseases while graduate students are trained in medical research. Facilities at the Institute include specialized laboratories and services in support of public programmes. From January 1, 2000, the Institute became one of the health-related institutions grouped under the newly established College of Health Sciences.

REGIONAL INSTITUTE FOR POPULATION STUDIES:
Established jointly in 1972 by the United Nations Organisation and the Government of Ghana, it promotes and strengthens research and training in demography for students from English-speaking countries in Africa. The Institute offers MA, MPhil and PhD degree courses.

Central African Republic - March 2012 Mission

A team from Every Nation Churches in South Africa went to Bangui (Central African Republic) to present Bible Based Leadership Development Conference on the University of Bangui.
We also worked with a local church movement to put plans in place to present a discipleship seminar that will serve churches representing more than 200 000 people.
