The University of Ferhat Abbas Setif develops a network of communication between the current and former students of the UFAS whether they are in Algeria or elsewhere in the world. This network will ensure the best possible educational support for our students and furthermore be able to help in the search for programs, career possibilities in Algeria or worldwide, and improve our practices with all of our associates to motivate the highest professional opportunities and take part completely in the growth of our university.

Accreditation:
The University of Setif established Medical Sciences in October 1980. In the beginning it started with a faculty of one hundred fifty students in medicine, affiliated with the National Institute for Higher Education in Medical Sciences

Faculty of medicine:
The faculty of medicine is located at the campus of El Bez, it is equipped with all the facilities needed for modern teaching methods, such as audiovisual techniques, internet, etc., The Faculty of Medicine of Setif now has the ways to start a fast development In addition to the University Medical Center, the university develops the Anticancer Centre and the new pediatric hospital. This improvement will undoubtedly relieve the CHU de Setif and allow the opening of new golf course to the students.

In the 2011-2012 academic years the university has an enrollment of over 600 students in the faculty of Medicine. To date, there are more than 4,600 physicians, 800 pharmacy technicians, and 442 dentists have finished their training and signed up with the practice of general medicine, pharmacy or dentistry. The students of Setif are practicing in Algeria, also in many other countries.

The introduction of the Faculty of Medicine in the UFAS has contributed to the reform of medical education in Algeria. In addition, the lecturers are also very active in conducting conferences, both national and international levels, as well as the publishing of their work related to research.
The students of Medicine are contributing to national development through the training of doctors, pharmacists and dentists. Then only the students have the ability to manage the care needs of a person of more demanding and openness to other medical and scientific institutions.

The UFAS train the students as professionals, more competent and humanistic able to restore and adjust regularly; this is the ideal thing that we engage in.

Cultural and sports activities:
Cultural and sporting activities, gives the opportunity to students to enjoy their vacation. Sports or cultural allows the student to refresh themselves and find their balance. . Also several tournaments have been conducted and the university organizes events and outings for the benefit of students.

Library:
The Library of the Faculty of Medicine has a rich collection of books and journals related to medical field. In the beginning the library got a collection of records of the Main Library of the University Ferhat Abass. The university library purchases budget documentary over 3600 books and 25,000 copies (EMC): also the university contains Encyclopedia for all medical and surgical specialties including 100 titles journals.

The University Library is a public service, provides useful support in your research.
The student can retrieve any information from the library and consultation documents very easily. Accessibility is 100 % free and start to its premises and equipments.
